Rorschach's House O' Me

Less about the knives, more about me. I have subverted this blog into chronicling my P90X experience. Day 1 begins here. 2 rounds over.

  • P90X Day 1

    Yes its true. YAP90XB. I am ~ok~ fitness wise but I have been plateaued for about a year now. Time to get to the next level. Hence I begin the truly ass kicking routine.

    Day 1 impressions:
    • My arms and shoulders are strong!
    • Everything else is about the strength of a 6 year old girl (I know this because my 7 year old daughters can do the ab exercises better than me)
    • So many pushups!
    • Ab ripper really does but why do my legs hurt too? Oh right because I am a dainty butterfly

    My goals!

    • less than 10% bodyfat (I am 16% now, thank you booze and fries!)

    My gear-up stuff list:

    • everlast cheapo mat (we’ll see how long it lasts)
    • bands (I already own)
    • dumbells (already own)
    • whey protein
    • endurox R4 drink powder (I am skeptical but will try anything once)
    • pull up bar (door gym, amazon)
    • yoga blocks (dont have these yet, figure I will need them)

    I am sore but not too sore, but to be fair I could not keep up 100% with the routines, an element which I like about the program. It really teaches you to fail and then get back in there. I need that.
